Lhamea Lall
Kids Count board member Lhamea Lall has been busy performing over the country. She performed in Harrow, at St. George’s Shopping Centre in London to Launch Black History Month 30th September and proceeded to the Civic Centre to perform for the lord mayor Janet Cowan. She also performed at an event to make youth’s in Edgware aware of crime in their area on behalf of the death of Kian Prince at St. Peter's Church, London. To start Anti Bullying Week 2006 Lhamea was part of a photo shoot on behalf of Leicestershire Anti Bullying Team and Leicester City FC to Campaign against Bullying. On the start of Anti Bullying she attended the two-day National Anti Bullying conference in Somerset held at the Winter Gardens on 20th 21st November. She opened and closed the show and was also a judge for the National Anti Bullying Song contest. Over the 2 days Lhamea was involved in workshops, presenting the Damilola Taylor award as well as performing in front of 700 young people.
To close the week Lhamea was invited to perform at Damilola’s 6th Memorial “Respect Your Life, Not A Knife” Campaign at Kings College, London 25th November where she closed the show on a high with “We Are Family”.
