KIDS COUNT LAUNCH2nd May 2006 Speech by Mike Penning MPPlease check against delivery It is a great honour and a privilege to be hosting this launch today. Kids Count is a cross party think tank that is looking at policies that puts children and young people first. I would like to thank all my Parliamentary colleagues for their support, but also to everyone that has offered their backing. As a father I understand all to well the pressures place on a family but for so many kids there is no family and that is where kids Count can make such a difference. The brain child of Linda Lawrence, I have seen her ideas develop over the months and I am proud to be here supporting her and Kids Count today. |
