Mark Mitchell
Mark Mitchell was born in 1963. On leaving education, Mark has worked for National Westminster Bank and in the commercial property sector, prior to his current employment for a charity. He is married to Angela and has one daughter, Alice, who attends school in Tring.
Mark is currently the Chief Executive of Dacorum CVS, which is based in West Hertfordshire. Dacorum CVS has 22 full time equivalent staff and a turnover in excess of £1 million through delivery of the core services of a Council for Voluntary Service, as well as a number of services which address locally identified need. The role of Chief Officer requires engagement and knowledge of the wide spectrum of community life and activity.
Specifically relating to the children and young people's agenda, Mark is a voluntary sector representatives on the District and County level Children's Trust Partnerships, is a member of the Hertfordshire County Council Scrutiny Committee for Children Schools and Families and regularly interfaces at a senior level with County Council members and key senior staff officers from statutory agencies.
Outside of work, Mark has seven years experience as a member of a PTA, including two years as Chairman, has a specific interest in promoting provision for special needs within education and is a Trustee of Dacorum District CAB, Dacorum Action on Disability and Tring Youth Project. | back. |
