Tom grew up on a “sink estate” in London. He came from a large family and had not directly been involved in drugs and gun crimes but surrounded by it. Tommy lost his best friend who was stabbed to death outside his school. They were very close, Tommy took his friends murder very hard. Kids Count helped Tommy and other students come to terms with the loss and to be catalysts for change in their area. Tommy has achieved a lot against the odds. He has helped many young people cope with the senseless loss of a life taken by youth crime and gangs.
